Occupational Consultants are able to offer both workplace and home functional capacity assessments [FCE]. An FCE is an assessment with a series of standardised and non-standardised tests to evaluate a worker’s physical capacity and their ability to meet the functional demands of their pre-injury role.
During an FCE a worker may be asked to complete or simulate certain tasks/ demands required as apart of their usual duties. An evaluation of their safety/ capacity will be made in relation to their ability to return to their role.
An FCE may be utilised as a baseline of the workers current capacity to facilitate the injury management, rehabilitation process or identify if suitable duties can be completed.
